[Product Image]   Animal Bites and Attacks

Animal attacks can result in serious and, at times, permanent injuries. The most common type of animal attack is a dog bite. Unfortunately, most dog bite victims are children. It is not uncommon in today's society for dog owners to train their dogs to be overly aggressive for the purposes of protecting and dog fighting. Often, young children cannot tell the difference between what looks like a playful dog and an aggressive one. In some cases the individual has done nothing to provoke the attack.

If ever attacked by an animal you should:

bullet

Seek medical attention immediately

bullet Get the name and contact information of the animal's owner
bullet

Get the name and contact information of any eye witnesses

bullet

Report the attack to the police

bullet

Request a copy of the police report

bullet

Take photographs of the animal and the location where the incident occurred

bullet

Take photographs of the injuries

bullet

Do not accept any settlement or admit fault with the owner's insurance company

bullet

Save any clothing damaged by the animal

Please contact the Uricchio Law Firm if you or a loved one has been attacked or bitten by an animal.
